What’s happening in Ms. Imrie’s class?!?

We are all excited about homecoming. The students have been dressed up all week and it’s been so much fun! Be sure to check out my website for picture updates!

For art on Monday, we made squirrels sitting in their nests. They turned out very cute!

Groton Elementary is participating in Kids Voting this year! We will be talking about the importance of voting and doing a mini lesson each week on citizenship and the election process. For our first lesson we voted on Pizza or Tacos. Pizza won by 5 votes. On Tuesday, we learned about Johnny Appleseed and then tried three different kinds of apples (Braeburn, Granny Smith, & Red Delicious). Braeburn won by a narrow margin! Watch for more information about Kids Voting!

Don’t forget the parade is at 1 p.m. on Friday. Students should wear red shirts and jeans for our Red Hots theme. If you are picking your child up that day, you can do so at the end of the parade route (near the park). See you there!
